Pretty quote of the day: Tuesday
“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t care, and those who matter don’t mind.” Dr. Seuss
As you can see I’m making some changes to my blog design. Obviously it takes time to make it “perfect” but I’m working on it! If you have any suggestions please feel free to leave a comment.
Have I told you how much I like Target? Honestly, I sometimes just go to peruse around the aisles and look at their new things. Here’s what I found last night that really caught my eye:
1. Merona yellow/gray pouch
2. No brand linear leaf cluster earrings
3. No brand pearl charm bangle bracelet
4. Prabal Gurung Pebble racerback tank top in Calypso Coral
What are your favorites?

This is one of the many makeup looks you will find on the runway for Fashion Week. A lot of them tend to be very exaggerated that sometimes is even hard to visualize how it will translate in the real world.
This look is particular makeup look is from Derek Lam show at Fall 2013 New York Fashion Week. It has a very ethereal look that is glowy and yet subtle. I’m sure you can also try a very similar look with gold tones for spring and summer. This look in particular is full of raisin, taupe colors, and of course a light hand with a satiny finish eyeshadow to give a pearly look to your eyes.
Here are the products that you can use to create this look:
Such a cute little place. I needed that mini vacation and I’m pretty happy I did it, even though I ended up with a messed up ankle!
I walked the whole place, went to one of the houses (DH wasn’t too interested), and ate a LOT of good food.
Now the highlight of the trip… honestly, was this awesome little store called Savannah Bee Company. This place was amazing. You have the chance to taste their honey (for free) and dang was it good. I never thought honey could taste so yummy.
Last but not least, I stopped by a store called The Paris Market… heaven. That place was so cute and whimsical that it’s hard to describe… just adorable. Wish we had something like that here in Orlando, Florida. Just check out the website and you can get an idea of what type of store they are.
P.S.
Yummmmmmm. They didn’t let me take that big jar home. Bummer.

Maybe it’s Maybelline! Can’t help but get reminded of their commercials. I’ve been using Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind for Dark Circles since it came out. I’ve tried other brands in the meanwhile but always come back to Maybelline because that particular concealer doesn’t settle into the little lines under my eyes.
I’ll admit that I’ve even used it as “highlighter” to contour my nose, forehead, etc etc. Now, while taking a little trip to Target I found this similar version of the dark circles concelear but it’s only for dark spots.
I bought it because I just wanted to see what the difference really is and the “dark circles” version doesn’t cover blemishes that well.
Well this one does work. It’s thicker, with way more coverage. It’s definitely not for the under eyes because it could settle on fine lines, but it works really well for blemishes or just any dark spot you need to cover up.
It last really when set with powder, so if you are looking for a concealer for acne scars or any other type of blemish this one is worth it.
“It’s a good day to have a good day”. How is that Monday going for you? I still need to drink a good cup of coffee to wake up but looking forward to a warm day here.
Hope everyone up north is doing all right after all that snow!
I needed a vacation so badly that I decided to take a little road trip to Savannah with my hubby. Work, health and just regular day to day can take it’s toll so I need to a take a little break and have a change scenery.
A friend mentioned that Savannah was a nice little place to walk around and eat good food. Since we don’t have beach weather yet here in Florida let’s just say that the food part was what convinced me.
I really have no idea what to expect but I’m sure there are going to be a lot of little cute shops to visit so I plan on taking lots of pictures to share with you guys… that’s including the food pictures, nothing better than some food porn!
I plan to also take pics with Instagram so you can follow me at https://instagram.com/asofia81
Hope everyone is having a good week so far!

I’m always looking to try new products. Especially new colors since I tend to stick to the same over and over (I’m not very adventurous). This time I wanted to try a brighter cheek color so I went “wild” and tried Illamasqua Hussy.
I’ll admit the color is gorgeous and it can be a little shocking at first but once applied the color doesn’t look so bright. Don’t get me wrong it is bright but unless you do like 4 or 5 layers of it you won’t get that bright crazy pink on your cheeks.
Just like any Illamasqua blush that’s I’ve tried before, the texture is awesome, and easy to blend. It does not last all day long, unless I use primer, but I can live with that.
Now next time I want to try out Tremble. I’ve heard great things about that color and it’s ALWAYS sold out. I need to hunt that baby down.
While making a little trip to Target a stumble upon these new little “lipsticks” and even thought the rack was almost empty I did find these two pretty colors. I was shocked they were almost sold out because they have a huge range of colors that I would’ve loved to try out.
The ones that I ended up buying are “Made-It Mauve” (left) and “Go Nude” (right).
Maybelline’s website says: “Pure color pigments suspended in a weightless gel. No heavy waxes or oils”.
I’m not sure what this gel thing is, but these remind me a lot of L’Oreal Caresse because they are very smooth and sheer (just one layer). You still get enough pigment to see the color but they aren’t as heavy as regular lipstick which is nice.
From both colors that I bought I’m definitely using “Go Nude” the most, especially since it has a very peachy tone to it, which is different that the other pink/nudes that I own.
Still a good buy, they last a pretty decent amount of time, like 2 hours. It’s similar to a lip gloss but without the sticky part. They make your lips feel soft, the pigment is pretty good so you can definitely have some fun trying out some bright colors like the “Berry Red” or a Plum Prospect”, which sadly they didn’t have in stock, and enough it gives shine without the use of lip gloss on top.
