Yes, this is my makeup routine on a daily basis. It might look like too much but it really doesn’t take that long. Honestly the part that I think take the longest might be the eye shadow because I’m always playing with different colors and placement.
+Wash: I always start with Purity by Philosophy because is super gentle but good enought to remove makeup. With it I use the Clarisonic since I always need the extra exfoliation because of the Retin-A.
+Primer: Next comes the awesome Smashbox primer. I love this stuff, it makes the skin looks smooth, fill up pores and makes your foundation last for a long time without looking shiny.
+Foundation: I know some people can get away with only concealer but honestly I can’t. I need something to even up my skin. Which brings me up to the use of concealer.
+Concealer: I’ve been using Maybelline Instant Age Rewind for a while and I don’t think I’ll try anything new for now. I’m pretty happy with it because it doesn’t crease or get into the fine lines under my eyes and provides great coverage for my dark circles. Plus it’s cheap so that makes it even better!
+Powder: Now powder… this is a tricky one. I have a hard time finding a good powder to set my foundation with. I’ve been using the MUFE HD microfinish powder from time to time, but I don’t think is the right powder for day to day use and the doesn’t provide extra coverage that sometimes I need. The good thing about Maybelline’s Fit Me is that they have a great range of colors and it provides pretty good coverage in case your foundation is not enough.
+Bronzer: I don’t always use bronzer but lately I like to contour my face before applying blush so I was looking for a matte bronzer and after a while I found Too Face Chocolate Soleil. Great color, buildable, easy to blend, matte and long lasting. Love it.
+Blush: Illamasqua. That’s I’ll I got to say. Awesome blush, great pigmentation, you don’t need to apply a lot to get the color on your cheeks. Super easy to blend and long lasting. Worth the price.
+Eyebrows: I’ve been using Revlon Brow Fantasy for years. It has a pencil on one end and a colored setting gel on the other. I’m sure there are probably better pencils out there but this one has been working great for me and it’s pretty inexpensive.
+Eyeshadow: I have the Naked 2 and Naked Basics palette, but if I had to recommend only ONE palette to have the Lorac Pro would be it! It has an amazing range of colors that go from matte to shimmers. Mostly neutrals but you can create so many looks with this palette that makes it completely worth it. All colors are super easy to blend and long lasting. Definitely worth it.
+Mascara: This one is hard because I’ve never had a mascara that I could say “wow my lashes look amazing”. I guess the Maybelline Lash Stiletto is the best mascara I’ve tried so far. It makes my lashes super long and it does add a little bit of volume. It’s easy to layer on in case you want a more dramatic look without looking clumpy.
+Lipgloss: Last but not least. Nars Lipgloss in Chihuahua (funny name). It’s a light nude/pinkish color. Love this lipgloss because is very pigmented and it gives a very plump look to my lips. It’s my go to lipgloss for every occasion. I even used it for my wedding so that shows you how much I like it.
Long post but really it doesn’t take me that long to get ready. I could skip some steps if I wanted to but I like how my makeup looks with all these products and I really reallyyy enjoy putting on my makeup in the morning. The other day a girl said that my skin looked flawless so I guess I’m doing something right lol.
Hope everyone’s week is off to a good start!
Thanks for sharing! I use Purity face wash by Philosophy as well, it’s definitely my favorite face wash I’ve used so far! I also love your collage, it’s so simple and clean, can you tell me what program you use?
Hi Rachel! Glad you liked it. I’m using Photoshop to create this type of graphics.
By the way, you have a great blog!
